Liu Kitchen

After downsizing from a much larger house in Lanikai, the Liu's wanted a kitchen that would be warm and homey with a modern look.  They were especially interested in maximizing the amount of storage space available in their new smaller kitchen.  Together we came up with a design that accomplished all of their goals.

Horizontally matched Rift-sawn White Oak veneer applied over a tight core plywood was used to construct the doors and drawers and provide the kitchen with it's signature look.  The plywood edges of the doors were left exposed and finished with clear lacquer to provide an additional unique detail.

To maximize ease of access, the kitchen was designed with all drawer lower cabinets so that everything is easy to see and find.  No more crouching down to see what has gotten buried at the back of their cabinets!
